This weeks article provides our first look into the 2023 Rookie class. Here is our "Way To Early Dynasty Rookie Rankings". If you are in need of a running back, the 2023 class has some solid options.
QUARTERBACKS
-
Bryce Young: Alabama; Junior; age 21
-
C.J. Stroud: Ohio State; Sophomore (red shirt); age 20
-
Will Levis: Kentucky; Senior (red shirt); age 23
Bryce Young is an incredible game manager. He has a deep ball with a quick release. The 2021 Heisman winner takes the top spot in our early QB rankings.
C.J. Stroud has the size that scouts look for in an NFL QB. He's a 6'3" 220 lb quarterback with incredible accuracy.
Will Levis has continued to creep up the ranks as he continues to look great in his 2nd year at the University of Kentucky. He has the size and arm strength to play at the next level.
RUNNING BACKS
-
Bijan Robinson: Texas; Junior; age 20
-
Jahmyr Gibbs: Alabama; Junior; age 20
-
Tank Bigsby: Auburn; Junior; age 20
-
Zach Evans: Ole Miss; Junior; age 21
Bijan Robinson has looked amazing in his Junior year at Texas. Week after week, he showcases his talents and is currently the clear number 1 pick in rookie drafts next year (non SuperFlex). He is a power back with excellent hands.
Jahmyr Gibbs is a dynamic back with pass catching abilities. Despite his size (sub 200 lbs), he has shown he can barrel through his defenders, and be a potential 3 down back.
Tank Bigsby like to use his lower body to muscle through defenders. That being said, he uses his agility more than his strength to get around defenders. He is also a great pass protection back.
Zach Evans is an elusive back with a nasty stiff arm. He is able to show burst into the secondary and pull off a long run at any time. An uptick in the receiving game could really boost his stock.
WIDE RECEIVERS
-
Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Ohio State; Junior; age 20
-
Kayshon Boutte: LSU; Junior; age 20
-
Jordan Addison: USC; Junior; age 20
-
Quentin Johnston: TCU; Junior; age 20
Jaxon Smith-Njigba set the BIG 10 receiving yards record in 2021 with over 1,600. He has excellent awareness on the field and knows how to find separation from his defenders. He deserves the top spot until someone takes it away.
Kayshon Boutte is the deep threat receiving option that today's NFL looks for. He knows how to get open, and can be seen playing both the slot and the outside.
Jordan Addison is a smaller receiver (175 lbs) with burst speed. He is a slot receiver that can take any catch to the house
Quentin Johnston has a nice size for an NFL wide receiver. He is a 6'4" 215 lb receiver who uses his size to his advantage. He is great off the line, but also has field stretching abilities
