Week 2 Fantasy Football
Dynasty Download

September 17, 2022

On a weekly basis, the Fantasy Beast will be providing a Dynasty Download article to our readers. This will be an article 100% dedicated to Dynasty leagues, and will include news, notes, and players you should keep an eye on.

This weeks article provides an overview of younger players in the league and their output/news from week 1. We omitted any players that were drafted high in fantasy leagues, as we already touch on them frequently throughout other articles on the site. This articles focus is on players to keep an eye on, and assist with making decisions to acquire/trade them in your leagues.

Chris Olave Led the Saints in Snap Percentage in Week 1

Chris Olave led all receivers on the Saints with a 74% snap percentage. This is a great start for the Rookie receiver. Though his fantasy output only returned 41 yards on his 3 receptions, the fact that he was on the field so often shows that they have the confidence in him as a starter.

Drake London is the WR1 for the Atlanta Falcons

Drake London had a great rookie debut. He received 7 targets on the night, with 5 catches and 74 yards. He led the team in targets, receptions, and yards. Excellent start to his NFL career.

Kenneth Walker NFL Debut this Sunday Against the 49ers

Ken Walker missed week 1 due to a hernia injury. He is set to play in his first NFL game this Sunday. This is great news for fantasy owners as he was universally a 1st round pick in Rookie drafts. Before placing him in any lineups we should keep an eye out on the Seahawks usage of Rashaad Penny, who looked great in his limited opportunities in week 1.

Skyy Moore Received Zero Offensive Snaps on Thursday Night Against the Los Angeles Chargers

Skyy Moore has had a disappointing start to the season. He was limited to strictly special teams work in week 2 against the Chargers, so the confidence in the offense is not there just yet. The optimistic outlook of Moore is that nobody (outside of Travis Kelce) has set themselves apart in the receiving game. Hold tight to your first round Rookie draft pick, his opportunity could come later in the season.

Cam Akers Invisible in Week 1 Against the Bills

If you followed our Fantasy Busts article, you will know that we at the Fantasy Beast avoided Akers at all costs. He only received 3 attempts for zero yards in the week 1 loss against the Bills. Darrell Henderson had a decent game against the Bill's stout run defense, so we can expect Akers to take a back seat for the time being. Sell him if you can, but we fear it may be too late.

Terrace Marshall Received Zero Offensive Snaps in Week 1 Against the Cleveland Browns

Second year receiver Terrace Marshall had some optimism going into 2022. With a new Quarterback in place (Baker Mayfield), there was hope he could step into that WR2 role into the offense. Unfortunately, this 2021 round 2 Rookie pick may be a role player for the remainder of the season unless an injury occurs ahead of him. He is currently the wide receiver 4 or 5 on the team.

Jahan Dotson with a Great Week 1 Against the Jaguars

Jahan Dotson had a great start to his NFL career. He saw an 88% snap percentage and was part of a surprisingly great Washington offense. He was able to pull in 2 touchdowns on the day and 40 yards in his debut.

Donovan People-Jones was the Top Receiver for the Browns in Week 1

In a receiving core consisting of Amari Cooper, Donovan People-Jones was the target leader on the night. He finished the game with an 88% snap percentage and 6 catches on 11 targets. A great week 1 for the 3rd year receiver.
